Normal demand, peak load, mixing, treatment biology and emergency response addressed within one oxygen strategy.

Dissolved oxygen supports animal respiration, feed response, microbial treatment and system resilience. Marine Blue develops aeration and oxygenation strategies from species, biomass, feeding, temperature, water depth, circulation, treatment demand, energy use and emergency scenarios.

01

Design method

  • Define normal, peak and contingency oxygen demand
  • Map circulation and high-risk zones
  • Separate mixing needs from oxygen-transfer needs
  • Select equipment for duty, efficiency and serviceability
  • Plan distribution, redundancy, alarms and emergency response
  • Coordinate oxygen with piping, controls and power
  • Prepare operating and preventive-maintenance guidance

02

Aeration and oxygenation are not interchangeable

Air systems may provide both gas exchange and mixing; pure-oxygen systems can address high oxygen demand within correctly designed transfer equipment. The selection depends on depth, water chemistry, process duty, system risk and operating economics.

03

Applications

  • Shrimp ponds and fish farms
  • RAS and indoor facilities
  • Hatcheries and nurseries
  • Biofilters and treatment tanks
  • Reservoirs and live-holding systems
  • High-density culture and emergency support

04

Safety and reliability

Pure oxygen, pressurized equipment, electrical loads and backup systems require suitable controls, materials, procedures and trained operation. Final configuration is project-specific.

Aeration & Oxygenation

Aeration and oxygen management designed around biomass and operating demand.

Delivering oxygen where and when biomass needs it

Dissolved oxygen is central to animal health, feed response, microbial processes, and system resilience. Marine Blue designs aeration and oxygenation strategies based on species, biomass, feed load, water depth, circulation, treatment demand, energy use, and emergency scenarios.

Technology Options

  • Paddlewheel aerators
  • Air blowers and diffuser networks
  • Venturi and jet aeration
  • Nano-bubble systems
  • Oxygen cones and pure-oxygen injection
  • PSA oxygen-generation systems
  • Emergency oxygen and backup distribution

Our Design Method

  • Define peak and normal oxygen demand
  • Map circulation patterns and high-risk zones
  • Select equipment for transfer efficiency and maintainability
  • Plan redundancy, alarms, and emergency response
  • Coordinate oxygen supply with piping, controls, and power strategy
  • Provide operating and preventive-maintenance guidance

Applications

Shrimp ponds, fish farms, RAS facilities, hatcheries, nurseries, reservoirs, treatment tanks, live-holding systems, and high-density culture applications.
